Pre-draft Bowling | by Pat

Continuing with the NFL Draft theme, it appears that eight Irish players will be participating in post-season senior bowls this year. Here's the breakdown:

Senior Bowl - Brady Quinn, Jeff Samardzija, Victor Abiamiri, Ryan Harris, Rhema McKnight

East-West Shrine Game - Derek Landri, Dan Santucci

Hula Bowl - Bob Morton

Honestly, I was surprised to see Quinn's name as many players considered Top 5 draft picks tend to avoid many of the pre-draft events such as these bowls. Then again, the Senior Bowl does have a history of attracting some of the better outgoing seniors. #1 draft pick Carson Palmer played in the Senior Bowl after winning the Heisman in 2003 while a year earlier David Carr used the Senior Bowl to solidify his #1 draft pick status.
